Statement of Flexibility

At this printing, we are in our second year of existence at John Paul II Catholic High School. We are starting with a small number of students and staff. The policies set forth in this handbook are patterned after the policies in effect at Cardinal Gibbons Catholic High School in Raleigh. These policies have been tested by time, and are approved by the Staff of Cardinal Gibbons, the Raleigh Diocese office, and by our own Board of Trustees. However, Cardinal Gibbons is a large high school with 100 years of history, and we are in our second year. Some of the services and policies that are in place for Cardinal Gibbons are not available, or do not apply, to our school, yet.

Therefore, some tweaking and modification of the content of this handbook may take place during the year. We will learn and adapt as the year progresses, and we ask for your patience, cooperation and understanding as we begin this worthy undertaking. We will always make the safety and academic success of your child our priority in a caring and Christian setting. Work with us as we strive to make John Paul II the premium High School experience in Eastern North Carolina.
