The cost of a private high school education is naturally one of the biggest concerns a family will need to address when determining where to send their child after eighth grade graduation.

A tremendous commitment and sacrifice is being requested of those who elect to choose Pope John Paul II high school for their child. It is a commitment to a faith-based education where Catholic ideals and identity are stressed. It is the extra effort, financial support and volunteerism that parents and guardians will need to provide to successfully grow the school through its infancy. It is the sacrifice that many will need to make financially to afford the cost of tuition.

At the same time, it is an investment in the success of their child both academically and spiritually.

Many of the potential students at Pope John Paul II high school have attended private, parochial schools for eight or more years. The financial contribution families have provided for this opportunity is certainly acknowledged. A Catholic high school is a natural extension of this same educational process experienced previously during elementary school.

Tuition

The Advisory Committee has carefully assessed the financial needs and cost structure required for the successful operation of Pope John Paul II high school. A cost-based tuition schedule has been derived that should cover the day to day operation of the school (assuming an optimal number of students enroll). The tuition and fees are very competitive relative to other “private” schools in the area.

Tuition and fees for the 2010-2011 school year will be:

  • Tuition: $7800 per student
  • Books/ fees: $400
  • Application fee: $25

Students may be asked to contribute a small amount for participation in certain extracurricular activities and sports programs.

Financial Assistance

At this time Pope John Paul II is able to provide for only limited direct tuition assistance. However, we are requesting that parish churches initiate a tuition assistance program to benefit students from their parish that attend the HS and may need financial assistance. In some parishes this is already being done at the elementary school level.

We are committed to helping families obtain assistance to ensure that financial needs do not prevent a desiring student from attending Pope John Paul II high school.

Financial needs determination will be assessed using standard financial analysis instruments.
